ALUMNIMUM & POWDER COATING AKZO-NOBEL

Since our luminaires must resist over time in the harshest conditions, our products are manufactured with aluminium, the perfect material for natural corrosion.

Beyond materials, we pay a particular attention our surfaces treatments and coating.

We opted for AKZO NOBEL powder coating, offering exceptional resistance performance in the most demanding conditions.

Aluminium and AKZO NOBEL powder coating allows Solux luminaires to resist high temperatures and humidity, UV discolouration from long sun exposure, and salt corrosion from seaside locations.

LITHIUM BATTERY LIFEPO4

Battery is a key component of solar lighting solutions. Quality battery technology determines the performance, lifetime, and price of a solar luminaire

From the beginning, Solux has successfully opted for the LIFEPO4 Lithium battery which guarantees an operating lifetime of more than 10 years.

Many manufacturers, by lack of knowledge or for cost saving reasons, opt for other technologies, such Lithium Ion or Nimh, resulting in poor product quality and short lifetime

With over 400,000 products installed worldwide in various climates, Solux batteries have proven their quality and performance.

COMPARATIVE TABLE OF THE DIFFERENT BATTERY TECHNOLOGIES

Comparisons of different battery technologies

A battery’s depth of discharge (DoD) indicates the percentage of the battery that has been discharged relative to the overall capacity of the battery. Depth of Discharge is defined as the capacity that is discharged from a fully charged battery, divided by battery nominal capacity. Depth of discharge is normally expressed as a percentage. For, example, if a 100 A h battery is discharged by 25ah, the depth of discharge is 25%.

HEAT DISSIPATION

High temperatures greatly affect the battery’s lifetime. This is why our batteries are encapsulated in an aluminum waterproof casing for a perfect heat dissipation.

In addition to that, the casing enjoy a natural airflow which keeps the battery to ambient temperature.

LED TECHNOLOGY

Our LED modules must achieve the longest lifespan possible. In our search for excellence, all our luminaires are equipped with PHILIPS LED Chips, well known and recognised for their performance and robustness with more than 80,000 hours lifespan and a performance of more than 196 Lumens per Watt.

In addition, electronic protection devices prevent any overheating of the various components.

Temperature management in our luminaires is deliberately very safe; we keep the temperature of our LED modules much lower than the maximum allowable temperatures resulting in a increased lifetime.

SOLAR PANELS HIGH PERFORMANCE

For the sake of performance and reliability Solux uses monocrystalline photovoltaic panels high performance.

All our cells are selected with the greatest attention and only GRADE A and an efficiency greater than 19.4%.

MICROWAVE SENSOR

Solux luminaires are equipped with microwave detectors.

The microwave detectors that use the Doppler effect (like car radars) to detect a presence and measure the distance. The sensor emits a high frequency wave to bounce off and analyze the presence.

Since the microwaves only detect specific objects, detection reliability increases resulting in :

• Much better reliability compared to the Infrared detector
• Up to 360° Directivity
•Insensitivity to other environmental variations such as light, color, temperature, etc.
• Long and stable detection range

THE BRAIN OF THE SYSTEM

The charge controller is the brain of the solar lighting system.
It allows regulation and protection of the battery charge as well as the management of lighting and its programming.

The electronics of the Solux controller is completely encapsulated in an aluminum box providing it with tightness and perfect heat dissipation.

The controller also acts as a protection element for all components against:
Overload / Overcurrent / Overtemperature /
Overvoltage / Overload / Overdischarge

MPPT TECHNOLOGY

In a search for performance and reliability, our products are equipped with MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology controller offering the best charging efficiency on the market.

REMOTE DIAGNOSIS

In order to facilitate all maintenance operations and
especially to diagnose any possible problem without
having to intervene mechanically on the luminaire,
Solux luminaires are equipped with a Wireless diagnosis system
via remote control.

With a simple click get real-time information such as:

Automatic diagnosis in the event of a malfunction
State of charge and history of the Battery
Real-time charging and History of production
of the Solar Panel
Age of the productt and date of installation
Temperature and its history

ALWAYS
BY YOUR SIDE

Whether for a technical question, an opinion or maintenance, the Solux technical team will always be available through our documentation, by telephone or on site.

WATERPROOF CONNECTORS

In addition all our components are assembled without welding and easy to access with waterproof plug & play connectors, in order to facilitate their replacement.

SMART CITY REMOTE MONITORING SOLUX BRIDGE

As part of its continuous development effort, the Solux team is proud to have developed a special tool for surveillance to distance of our solar street lights. Solux Bridge uses low frequency LORA or Zigbee technology to monitor a batch of solar street lights in real time.

SOLUX BRIDGE allows the control of luminaires such like:
Programming / Real-time operation monitoring / Fault alert / Location / Operation history
